Oxford
Boys' Choir |
Oxford Boys' Choir is the newest section of Oxford
Youth Choirs, directed by Penelope Martin-Smith. It provides
a musical and vocal training for boys aged 7-11 who enjoy singing a wide repertoire.
Voice training methods are the same as those of the girls choir. In 2005 the boys joined the girls to sing as bambini in the Mediterranea Festival production of La Bohème in Gozo, starring tenor Joseph Calleja.
Oxford
Boys' Choir provides a lively alternative to the church music tradition for boys
who want to sing, though each year some of our boys go on to win scholarships
to college or cathedral choirs.
